When and Where is the Wedding/Is the Ceremony Outside

Our wedding will take place on Saturday, September 27th, 2025 at the Fenimore Art Museum in Cooperstown, NY. The ceremony and cocktail hour (weather permitting) will be held outside on the terrace. The reception will follow across the road at the Fenimore Farm and Country Village, inside the Louis C. Jones Center. If there’s rain, all events will move to indoor spaces at the Fenimore Farm and Country Village.

How Do I RSVP

To RSVP, please click on the “RSVP” button on the home page of our website and fill out the online form. Please RSVP at your earliest convenience and no later than August 1st. We look forward to celebrating with you!

What is the Dress Code

We’d love to see our family and friends dressed up for our big day. We kindly request formal attire for the evening. This means suits or button down shirts and dress pants with a tie or bow tie, floor-length dresses, elegant cocktail dresses, dressy jumpsuits, etc. We encourage you to dress to impress—but keep the weather in mind! Wear whatever color you would like, but we ask to avoid colors traditionally reserved for the bride - whites, ivories, and creams. The bridal party colors are dusty rose and navy.

Can I Bring a Date

Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. If you received a plus one, your invitation will have “and Guest” alongside your name. Thank you for understanding!

Are Kids Invited

We love our little ones! However, we have decided to keep our wedding and reception an adult-only (21+) event with the exception of those little ones in our bridal party. We hope you understand and enjoy the night off as we can’t wait to celebrate with you!

What Time Should I Arrive

The ceremony will begin punctually at 3 o’clock, please arrive no later than 2:40 to ensure you don’t miss the magic!

Can I Take Pictures

We are having an “unplugged ceremony” (no phones or cameras). The greatest gift you can give us is being fully present as we say “I do”. We have hired professionals to capture the moment for us and we promise to share our photos as soon as we receive them. After the ceremony, feel free to take as many photos and videos as you’d like!

How Will the Ceremony Seating Be Arranged

The first few rows of chairs are reserved for immediate family and the bridal party. Signs will show which seats are reserved. All other seats are open! We ask that you fill in from the front to the back and slide in to ensure everyone gets a great seat.

What if I Don’t RSVP in Time

We will miss celebrating with you! We need to provide our venue with exact numbers by a certain date, so please don’t RSVP late!

What Should I Do If I Can’t Make It

You will be missed! If you cannot attend our wedding, please indicate your regrets on our RSVP tab so we can plan accordingly.

Have You Reserved Hotel Room Blocks for Guests

Yes! Please visit the “Accommodations” tab for more information.

Will There Be an Open Bar

Yes! Beer, wine, cocktails, and non alcoholic beverages. Please arrange transportation from the venue if you plan on drinking. Please drink responsibly.

What’s the Rain Plan

Weather in late September can be unpredictable, but don’t worry—we’ve got a plan! If it rains, the ceremony will move indoors to the Chapel at the Fenimore Farm and Country Village. Cocktail hour will take place just outside the reception hall in the foyer.

Please note: if rain is in the forecast, we recommend wearing shoes that are comfortable for walking on wet dirt paths—you’ll take one to reach the chapel. Rain or shine, we’re looking forward to a beautiful celebration with you!

Where Can I Park Upon Arrival

There’s plenty of free parking! You can park in the circle in front of the art museum, the small lot to the right, or across the street in the lot for the Fenimore Farm and Country Village.

Can I leave my Car at Venue Overnight

Yes, feel free to leave your car at the venue overnight if needed. You can pick it up the following day without any additional charges or restrictions, but you must pick it up by 10:00 am.

Will There be Transportation To and From the Venue

No, we will not be providing transportation, so please plan accordingly!

What Type of Food Will Be Served at Your Wedding

We’ll have passed hors d'oeuvres at cocktail hour, followed by dinner. We are offering you the choice of two stations, a pasta station and a slider station. The slider station will include a beef, chicken, fish, and vegetarian option. We will accommodate any food allergies or diet restrictions. Please note during the RSVP process!

What Time Does the Reception End

The celebration will start to wind down around 9:45 PM. At that time, we’ll ask all of our guests to grab their things and head outside to help us capture some fun exit photos! We’ll be sharing one final private dance in the reception space before we make our grand exit. We kindly ask that everyone respect this special moment and make their way outside when asked—thank you for helping us end the night in a memorable way!
